   ByLaws Section II

This is what is expected of you at Quantum Gymnastics

1.  Hard Work
From the time you come into the gym until the time you leave, you are expected to work. If the coach is finishing up the class before yours, you need to sit quietly in the observation area until the coach is ready to begin your class.

2.  Punctuality and Discipline
You are asked to arrive on time and remain until the end of the class. Classes for Level 2 are 1 hour long, Level 3 are one hour and 15 minutes long and classes for Level 4, 5, 6 and 7 are 1.5 hours long.

3.  Group chat Sessions are prohibited during class.
There will be no group chat sessions during gymnastics workouts. The only conversing should be that which is related to gymnastics, the activities of the class or which is necessary to conduct safe workouts. If you arrive early, older students may run or conduct socialization outside of the gym. Chat sessions before class in the gym are disruptive to the gymnasts who are still in class.

4.  If a gymnast is asked to do something, her coach expects her do it without argument or refusal.
I will listen if there is a real concern or if a gymnast feels strongly that I am in error or forgetting something important. I will listen!  Any argument or refusal to comply beyond that however won't be punished - but the gymnast will be given the opportunity to strengthen a few muscles. IF argument or refusal continues, the gymnast will be asked to leave class. If the gymnast needs to wait on a parent or ride, she may wait quietly in the observation area until her ride comes.

5.  There will be NO profanity or use of crude language in the gym before, during or after class.

6.  No behavior will be tolerated that isn't in the best interest of every gymnast concerned.
Some examples of unacceptable behavior are those which cause class members to be distracted, or which render them unable to concentrate on their skills or passes.  One includes "cutting down" or demeaning another gymnast or her skills. This behavior is not only cruel but can be detrimental to the gymnast's progress and concentration during class.  This type of behavior is also detrimental to the gymnast exhibiting the behavior as it is distracting to her progress and concentration as well. Nothing can be gained by this form of negative in-class rivalry and it will not be permitted at Quantum Gymnastics.  Behaviors of this nature will warrant asking a gymnast to take "time out" for the remainder of the class.

(Older gymnasts demeaning the ability or skills of younger gymnasts can be quite harmful as younger ones often think highly of older ones and see them as role models.  Older gymnasts are expected to act as positive role models to younger gymnasts.)

7.  Gymnasts will be asked to follow each of the rules set forth in the Safety Regulations and these Bylaws and to sign the Waiver of Liability stating that they have read, understand and will abide by each.

At any time, the requests stated above or written in the Safety Regulations are not followed, and if a gymnast then ignores the ensuing efforts from the coach to encourage her to comply, she will be asked to "sit out" the remainder of the class.

No anger and no "punishment." Just simple and clear consequences. Gymnasts that want to take gymnastics must work out by the rules or plain and simply, they don’t work out.

Without Discipline, Gymnastics Can Lead to Injury or Death
